While chalet is really great, modern, well equipped, in superb, peaceful, but not isolated location, our kind, helpful and knowledgeable host Suzi was the real asset.

We loved the double height sitting room with its wood burner, the freestanding bath in the upstairs bathroom, the wonderful wrought iron spiral staircase, the cinema style TV and the amazing log pile!
Thoughtful little touches like slippers provided and the welcome basket of goodies were delightful, and Suzy's brother Jozef was great when we had problems with the wifi.
This place is tucked away in a little wooded valley, but it's only 5 minutes drive from a supermarket and 20 minutes to the High Tatras. Also accessible is the Slovak Paradise and the Hornad river gorge with its Via Ferrata style steps, ladders and chains, and the fabulous Dunajec river on the Polish border where you can go rafting.

This is an ideal place for walkers wanting to explore this beautiful part of Slovakia - with a variety of routes to suit all levels and the opportunity to see lots of wildlife and birds. We ate out most evenings in Svit or Poprad - and enjoyed some lovely food at very low prices. The chalet is also very near to several supermarkets where we could get essentials and more. As the chalet is adjacent to a ski resort and in the vicinity of other resorts catering for every ability, I am sure this would also be a real find for skiing families. Now back in the UK, relaxed, revitalised and refreshed, we will definitely be booking again.

Greeted by Suzi's lovely parents (and a basket of wine, crossaints, coffee and tea), we were made to feel at... read more home the moment we walked through the door.

The facilities were clean, modern and finished to the highest standard. We were spoilt with space and a cosy wood burner - perfect for those chilly evenings.

The views from the chalet were stunning, especially as the sun was setting. We felt incredibly safe and were grateful of the fantastic ski resorts that were a 20-30 minute drive away (there are a couple of slopes a couple of minutes down the road, which would satisfy the first day's skiing).

The garage located in the basement was clean and spacious; perfect for our skiing equipment and hired car.

The water was always hot and the temperature warm throughout the house (despite the temperature dropping to minus 15 one evening!).

Our daughter was in awe of this magical place and we felt secure with her playing outside in the snow since the front windows offered full view.

The information pack left for our reference was most useful - Suzi has covered every possible element, which saved us a lot of time.

Poprad airpoirt is only a stone throw away - always a bonus.

We will certainly be returning to this fabulous place.

How wrong was I...............this place is amazing...... Just a fifteen minute car journey takes you from Poprad Airport to this fantastic chalet - where do I start? The chalet is immaculate with every mod con you can think of - great WiFi (and that was all four of us using multiple devices at once!), more movie choices than netflix on the flatscreen TV, every kitchen appliance under the sun, two bathrooms, BBQ area outtside and all in this fairytale forest. With the local town being only a 20 minute car journey - Tesco, restaurants, local town and shopping malls literally on your doorstep. We visited the Slovakian Paradise trek and the Tatry Mountains (3 cable cars later and definitely a must!) - what a great 7 days here! The other plus about the chalet location is that it reverts to a ski resort in the winter with a vast choice of slopes, ski lifts, etc. We are just about to book a another week for six in this beautiful chalet - we have found a hidden gem for both summer and winter - that caters for both adults and children! Love it!

Suzi the owner... read more was so helpful during the booking procedure and even while we were their helped with taxis etc. Her father unobtrusively looked after us, even cleaning, then stoking the log burner everyday so that we could just light a match when we got in from our day out in the cold and instantly had a beautiful log fire.
There was a lack of snow in the immediate area of the chalet but the local slope which is minutes from the house had enough for the first day skiing with the help of snow cannons. After that we traveled 20 minutes up the road to Štrbské Pleso which had more than enough snow for our needs.
Every where we went was so reasonably priced which made a refreshing change from skiing in bigger resorts in Europe. Our first lunch on the local slope which included beers , hot dogs and chips for 6 of us came to 18 euros!
We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend this property.
